This is what happened.
Early this morning the server started freaking out. Mark rebooted it to try to fix it. In doing so a new kernel came into play that likely was installed by me accidentally at some point in the past. This didn't play nice with the Hyper V host so Mark had to get in via console and rebuild the drivers for Hyper V against the new kernel.
The system is back up now.
I've changed the yum config to exclude kernel updates in hopes that this will prevent accidentally causing this problem again.

CH Down
At about 3:20am this morning March 9th 2012 Cementhorizon started having problems. At 6:25am Mark tried rebooting the server and it hasn't come back up. He's working on getting it running again now. I'll update soon. -Gene
