Server down as of 5am Thanksgiving. Back up 8:30am

Our instance is down at the moment. I'm working on getting it fixed. This will affect all hostes sites and services.

I've rebooted the instance and it's back up now 8:30am.

Maitenance this Sunday May 27th

We'll be performing hardware maintenance on the site at the datacenter this weekend on Sunday. As a result the site will be inaccessible during the maintenance. All email will continue to be delivered as this is handled by google servers. Websites, blogs, photo galleries, etc. will be down however. If anyone has questions feel free to email or call me.

CH Back up

This is what happened.

Early this morning the server started freaking out. Mark rebooted it to try to fix it. In doing so a new kernel came into play that likely was installed by me accidentally at some point in the past. This didn't play nice with the Hyper V host so Mark had to get in via console and rebuild the drivers for Hyper V against the new kernel.

The system is back up now.

I've changed the yum config to exclude kernel updates in hopes that this will prevent accidentally causing this problem again.
